Indices of Deprivation 2007
The Index of Multiple Deprivation 2007 combines a number of indicators, chosen to cover a range of economic, social and housing issues, into a single deprivation score for each small area in England. This allows each area to be ranked relative to one another according to their level of deprivation. Published 6 December 2007.

Office
of National Statistics (ONS)
ONS is the principal provider of official statistics about the UK,
including the national census. ONS information is used by government
to make decisions about society and the economy, and by people to
better understand their country.
Research
Councils UK
RCUK is a strategic partnership of the UK’s seven Research
Councils. Each year the Research Councils invest around £2.8
billion in research covering the full spectrum of academic disciplines
from medical and biological sciences to astronomy, engineering,
social sciences, economics, the arts and humanities.
Quality
of Life Indicators
A recommended set of indicators compiled by the Audit Commission
which, taken together, aim to give a general view of the quality
of life within a given area. The indicators can be used to inform
the development of community strategies and to monitor the impact
of actions taken.
