Young people's winning anti-bullying posters

The winning designs were created by Frank Winter of Ocklynge Junior School (primary section, left pic) and Nicola Wilkinson of Chailey School (secondary section, right pic).
The runners-up were Lewis Innes of East Hoathly Primary School (primary, left pic) and Ellen Blakney also of Chailey School (Secondary, right pic).

These posters were designed by children and young people in East Sussex to illustrate their feelings about bullying and to emphasise the county's on-going anti-bullying campaign. They are the winners in a design competition for pupils from primary and secondary schools run by the East Sussex Anti-Bullying Team.

The two winners and two runners-up were chosen from more than 200 entries. The four posters shown will now be used in schools across the county and the best 12 entries will be turned into a calendar for next year.

Anti-bullying Survey

Meanwhile, the Anti-Bullying Team continues to work regularly with schools and young people to address bullying behaviour and is currently running an anti-bullying survey of pupils at dozens of schools across the county. By the time the survey is completed, the Team hopes that as many as 12,000 pupils at 40 schools - including all the county's maintained secondary schools - will have had the chance to take part.
