Achievements

Awards for top nurseries and childcare professionals

Outstanding nurseries and top childcare professionals in East Sussex are to get awards from the County Council for their achievements.

The new Building A Future Together Awards formally recognise early years settings that achieve exceptional inspection standards and qualifications. To qualify for an award, nurseries or child minders must achieve Ofsted's 'outstanding' assessment category for childcare, nursery education or both. Individual child care professionals who also achieve the Early Years Professional status will qualify for an award as well.

Nurseries already in line to receive the award are:
  • Isfield Pre-school, Isfield
  • The Old School House Montessori Nursery, Lewes
  • Robertsbridge Children's Services, Robertsbridge
  • Broad Oak Pre-school, Broad Oak
  • Herstmonceux Pre School, Herstmonceux
  • Fiddlesticks Nursery, Lewes
  • The Little Ark, Eastbourne
  • Rainbow Nursery, Eastbourne
  • JHM Childcare, Crowborough
  • The Acorns Nursery School, Westmeston (nr Ditchling)
  • Maypole Montessori, Uckfield
  • Annan Farm Small School, Framfield
  • Etchingham Under Fives Playgroup, Etchingham
Several individuals who have achieved Early Years Professional status are also in line for an award. For more about the Building A Future Together Awards, contact John Harrison, john.harrison@eastsussex.gov.uk .
