Shaping Healthwatch East Sussex
As part of the Health and Social Care Bill currently making its way through Parliament, new consumer champions for users of health and social care services will be created, these will be known as Local Healthwatch.
The Department of Health’s vision for Local Healthwatch:
- The local consumer voice for people who use and need health and social care services to be empowered to improve and influence the commissioning decisions made about those services;
- Build on the good work of LINks; and
- Strengthen the ways in which commissioners and providers take the views and experiences of patients and the public into account when improving the quality and safety of health and social care services.
This page will provide you with updates on activities taking place to shape Healthwatch East Sussex, and provide information on how Healthwatch links to other activities taking place as part of the reforms, such as Health and Wellbeing Boards.
